Inner Harbor

Inner Harbor

Magnificent View of the Harbor

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor industrialized the city with trade, industries, and shipbuilding beginning in the 18th century. During the 1790’s, the harbor was famous for its “Baltimore Clippers” and talented shipbuilders. Today, it is a great tourist spot for shopping and dining. Exploring aquatic life at Baltimore’s National Aquarium is one of the more popular spots in the harbor. Another great tourist spot to visit is the USS Constellation, the first Navy ship to be used in war, which sits in the harbor’s waters. Whether you live in the city or are just visiting, the Inner Harbor is ideal for family outings, educational affairs, and leisurely time.
